Erik Ten Hag has spoken out for the first time since his sacking as Manchester United manager, expressing gratitude to the fans and staff during his time at the club.
In an emotional farewell letter, the Dutchman acknowledged the “incredible” support he received, both at home and abroad.
After a disappointing start to the season, where United found themselves in 14th place in the Premier League, Ten Hag was relieved of his duties on Monday.

Despite the rocky end, his tenure included memorable victories, such as winning the League Cup and FA Cup.
In his message to fans, Ten Hag wrote, “Thank you for always being there for the club. Your support has been unshakeable.”

He reminisced about the electrifying atmosphere at Old Trafford and the passion of supporters, whether during home games or in distant stadiums across Europe and beyond.
The manager also extended his gratitude to the club’s staff, noting their unwavering support through both challenging and successful times.

He reflected on the trophies won during his tenure, stating, “We won two trophies—achievements that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Unfortunately, my dream was to bring more trophies to the cabinet, but that dream has come to an end.”
Ten Hag, who joined Manchester United in 2022, expressed his desire for the club to return to success. He concluded his letter by wishing the fans “success, trophies, and glory” in the future.
