A 13-year-old girl’s life was shattered in a terrifying attack in Hackney, East London, in October. The young girl was walking near Banister Road West when she was approached by a stranger.
According to police, he dragged her into his van and drove her to a block of flats on Homerton High Street, where he allegedly assaulted her.
The incident took place around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, and it has left the local community in shock. Police have now released an e-fit image of the suspect, hoping someone might recognize him and come forward with information.
Detective Superintendent Ralph Coates called the crime “extremely serious” and assured the public that the investigation is moving forward quickly.
“We are fully committed to finding the person responsible,” Coates said. “We’re supporting the victim through this incredibly difficult time, and we’re working tirelessly to bring this investigation to a close.”

The girl, who has been described as incredibly brave, is said to have helped create the e-fit image of the man.
Police are asking for anyone who might have seen something suspicious on the day of the attack, or who recognizes the man in the e-fit, to contact them.
“We need your help,” Coates urged. “Even if you think your information is small or insignificant, it could be the missing piece we need.”
With the support of the community, the hope is that justice can be served, and the person responsible for this horrific crime can be caught.
