The groups for the UEFA Champions League 2022–2023 have been released and the early rounds of Europe’s top competition will undoubtedly feature some electrifying football.

Real Madrid, the defending champions, will try to win a record-extending 15th UEFA Champions League championship this year, but they will face some old opponents as well as some fresh obstacles.

In the 2022–23 group stage, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will compete in Group F alongside RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Celtic.

Erling Haaland, who transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City and Robert Lewandowski, who relocated from Bayern Munich to Barcelona will reunite early in their respective Group C and Group G matches.

The grouping of German champions Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Inter Milan ensures early heavyweight battles in the 2018 UEFA Champions League.

FC Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic completes the tough Group C.
