A young woman was tragically found dead just days after her wedding, while on her dream honeymoon in Miami.
Aleksandra Leczycka, 26, from Poland, was discovered unconscious on a Miami street in August 2022, with her husband, David Leczycki, also found in a critical condition beside her.
The couple had recently married, just 23 days before the tragic incident. Local authorities initially suspected that the pair had been doped and robbed, as they had been stripped of their cash and jewelry.

However, following further investigation, U.S. police determined that the couple had voluntarily taken psychoactive drugs.
According to Polish investigators, Leczycka likely died from either a drug overdose or a severe allergic reaction.
Hours before her death, she had been sharing images on social media, enjoying drinks, and having fun at a Miami beach.

It seemed like a celebration of their new life together—until it took a devastating turn.
The couple’s tragic story became more complicated when evidence suggested that they had consumed drugs willingly, though authorities could not rule out the possibility that they had been involuntarily drugged.
Siedlce District Prosecutor Krystyna Golabek confirmed that the investigation was closed on October 23, 2024, after extensive measures, including requests for legal assistance from the U.S., and expert opinions in the fields of computer science and toxicology.
Despite this, the cause of the couple’s drug use remained unclear.
The investigation ultimately concluded that while the couple’s actions likely led to the tragic outcome, no evidence supported the initial assumption that they had been drugged and robbed by others.
Aleksandra Leczycka’s death serves as a somber reminder of how quickly things can change, turning what should have been a joyous occasion into an unthinkable tragedy.
