Rapper 50 Cent claimed that there was tension in the air during the procedure, almost a year after the amazing Super Bowl halftime show performance, which many hailed as one of the best in recent halftime show history.

Rapper 50 Cent entered the stage with Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and Dr. Dre on the day, which surprised many because he wasn’t actually in the advertisements. Nevertheless, they all contributed to the amazing performance.

During a recent visit to Big Boy’s Neighborhood, 50 Cent talked about the historic performance and detailed the behind-the-scenes tension between himself and fellow-rapper, Jay-Z, as he spoke about why he thinks he was left out of the ad.

According to him, he wasn’t part of the commercial because of Jay-Z although he got a call prior to the ad.

Fifty was then asked if he thought he was purposely left out of the Super Bowl ad, and the rapper says he heard the NFL wasn’t a fan of him.

“I got the call before the [Pepsi] ad went up,” said Fif. “I wasn’t in the ad because of—Jay-Z and them was putting it together.”

“So, I think they still harbor some energy towards me,” 50 Cent added. Big Boy asked if the Power mogul truly believed he was purposefully excluded from the promotional ad.

“No. I think that they—they were saying that the NFL had some issues with me. I don’t know what those issues are,” Fif answered. “What is the issue? You see what I’m sayin’?” He also mentioned a conversation where he learned that Eminem wouldn’t perform with 50 Cent.

“That’s your big homie,” said Fif. He then remarked about Hov seemingly mirroring the looks of Jean-Michel Basquiat. “You image yourself after a gay painter. Big homie wanna look like a gay painter.”
