$8 Twitter Blue with verification to launch in India in ‘less than a month’: Elon Musk says

Townflex Tech News – According to Twitter’s new owner, billionaire Elon Musk, the microblogging service’s fee-based blue tick authentication service will launch in India in “less than a month.”

Musk had previously stated that the blue verification tick that appears in front of a user’s name and verifies their account will cost USD 8 per month (equivalent to Rs. 660). The decision by Twitter to impose a monthly fee for the verified badge has divided users around the globe.

Just as published in our previous article, Twitter announced that it has started rolling out the $8 Blue Tick Verification service on ios (iPhones users) in some specific regions which includes US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Twitter’s new owner after completing a $44 billion takeover deal have both promised that the new subscription service will reduce spam on the network. This has been widely reported on over the previous few weeks. According to reports, all Twitter users will eventually have access to the edit button, which was previously only available to Twitter Blue’s paying customers.

Twitter Blue India – Now it looks, India is the next destination for the blue fee-service to be launched despite the huge cut-off in the number of workers for the company.

When a Twitter follower asked Musk when can we expect to have the Twitter Blue rollout in India, the Tesla CEO replied: “Hopefully, less than a month“.

“Super, that’s fast! Looking forward and guessing it could be INR 649 or so. Will be interesting to see if it includes GST or if it will take it to close to 10$,” the user named Prabhu tweeted.

Another user commented: “Price will be according to Purchasing Power Parity So we can expect Rs 199 after GST”.

Also in other news, Elon Musk has at last reacted to inquiries regarding what could be done to stop imitators using phony accounts on his newly account social media account ‘Twitter’.

Elon Musk stated on Sunday that accounts that impersonate someone else on Twitter without clearly identifying it as a “parody” account will be permanently terminated without notice.

Well, this is a new king’s new law initiative as Elon rolls out his new rule to be followed by anyone who uses his platform.

Elon Musk claimed in a different tweet that while Twitter had previously offered a notice prior to suspension, there will be “no exceptions” now that broad verification is being implemented.

In a separate tweet, Elon Musk said Twitter previously issued a warning before the suspension, but as Twitter is rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning as well as “no exceptions.” Click To Read Full Article Here.
