Nollywood actor Obumneme Odonwodo, who played Junior Pope, passed away at the age of 39.
According to Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president Emeka Rollas, Junior Pope died in a boat accident on Wednesday, April 10, in Asaba, Delta State, south-south Nigeria.
Witnesses at the scene report that Junior Pope and four other people were shooting towards Asaba, but the boat they were traveling in had an accident in the River Niger.
It’s true that Junior Pope perished in a boat accident in Asaba today. We don’t transport my body to the Asaba mortuary.
“Four oda pipo na victims but dem neva find dia bodi,” Rollas said.
Junior Pope left behind his three children and his wife.
Junior Pope, who was on top of the boat without a life jacket, asked the skipper to make him move slowly in one of the videos that I posted on my Instagram page on Wednesday, April 10.
