Jackie Appiah reflects on Junior Pope’s passing: ‘May we not die in pursuit of daily bread

Jackie Appiah, an actress from Ghana, responded to Junior Pope‘s passing.

Junior Pope, a Nigerian actor, perished in a boat accident while traveling to make a movie.

He and a few other crew members on the boat perished together.

Following Junior Pope’s passing, some African members of the film industry have called for appropriate action to be taken in the future regarding the safety and well-being of actors and actresses on film sets.

Leading actress Jackie Appiah, who is from Africa, responded to Junior Pope’s death by expressing shock at the actor’s untimely passing.

The actress hopes that nobody perishes while trying to obtain their quota of bread.

“RIP @jnrpope and to the crew members,” her message said. This is very depressing. May we not perish while trying to get our daily bread.
