The third Maritime Boundary Inspection (MBI) exercise was conducted along Ghana’s Western Frontiers of its maritime domain by the Ghana Boundary Commission (GhBC) in collaboration with the Ghana Navy (GN).
This MBI exercise took place over the course of four days, from Monday, April 8, to Thursday, April 11, 2024, and covered a total of 271 nautical miles in the vicinity of the Tweneboa Enyenra Ntomme (TEN) Oil Fields.
The primary objective of the exercise was to assess the Western maritime boundary line’s state in order to confirm that there are no illicit activities or infringements along the maritime border with Cote d’Ivoire.

Under the International Tribunal of the Laws of the Sea (ITLOS) order regarding the maritime boundary dispute between Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire, an inspection was carried out as part of the enforcement process.
