Days after being subjected to racist taunts from Atletico Madrid supporters, Nico Williams, along with his brother and Black Stars forward Inaki Williams, was instrumental in the Black Stars’ La Liga victory over Getafe.
Both of Bilbao’s goals came from outside the stadium in a 2-0 victory over Getafe.
Nico helped achieve both objectives. With a 10-point advantage over closest opponent Real Sociedad—who have played one fewer game than Athletic—Inaki scored to seal the victory and solidify Bilbao’s fifth-place standings.
In a match that saw two Bilbao players sent off and Mason Greenwood of Getafe miss a penalty in the 88th minute, Inaki Williams scored goals in the 27th and 51st minutes.
What a goal by Inaki Williams to give Athletic Club the 1-0 lead away from home against Getafe. ⚽️🇬🇭
