16-Year-Old Girl Charged with Murder of 51-Year-Old Homeless Man

A 16-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of 51-year-old Anthony Marks, who was found dead after an attack at Kings Cross Station in London.

Marks, a homeless man, was assaulted on Cromer Street on Saturday, August 10, and later died from his injuries.

The teenager, who is from Brixton, South London, is set to appear in Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today. She has been charged with murder following the tragic incident.

Marks, who was believed to have been seeking shelter in a bin shed during the attack, was left in a vulnerable position.

Another suspect, a 17-year-old boy from Dagenham, was arrested on October 4 and charged with the same crime just days later. He remains in custody and is scheduled to face trial in the coming year.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, expressed the ongoing nature of the investigation, despite one person being charged.

She encouraged witnesses who have yet to come forward to assist the inquiry.

“We know there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident, and some tried to help Anthony,” Lee said in October.

“If you were one of them, please contact us. Your information could be crucial to the case.”
