Rapper Ja Rule is challenging a long-standing rumor involving his rival 50 Cent, offering a cash reward to anyone who can prove the infamous story true.
The controversy revolves around a claim made by 50 Cent, who in 2018 alleged that he purchased hundreds of tickets to one of Ja Rule’s concerts to intentionally leave the front rows empty as part of a prank.
Ja Rule, however, has repeatedly denied the accusation and now wants to put an end to the tale once and for all.
On Sunday, December 29, Ja Rule reignited the feud when he made a playful declaration on social media: “My new year resolution is to be PETTY.”
When a fan encouraged him to bring up the empty seats rumor, Ja Rule didn’t hold back. He called the story a lie, tweeting, “You believe this dumb s###???” and questioning the validity of the claim.

The rapper went a step further by offering $10,000 to anyone who could provide concrete proof—whether in the form of photos or video—showing that 50 Cent had actually bought the tickets.
“What city/venue did this said show take place??? @50cent is a fat f###### LIAR,” Ja added, using his platform to call out his rival.
This back-and-forth stems from a 2018 Instagram post by 50 Cent, where he claimed to have bought 200 tickets for a Ja Rule show in Arlington, Texas, through Groupon for just $3,000.
The seats, he said, were in the front rows, and he ensured they remained empty to mess with Ja Rule.
The story resurfaced recently when 50 Cent shared more details in an interview with Big Boy TV, saying the stunt was meant to make Ja Rule feel disconnected from his audience.
The rivalry between the two rappers has lasted for decades, with both frequently trading insults and pranks. Ja Rule’s latest challenge has only fueled the ongoing feud, and it seems this petty battle is far from over.
Whether the truth behind the ticket-buying prank will ever surface remains unclear, but for now, it’s clear that both rappers are committed to keeping the drama alive.
