Brazilian football star Neymar has made a dramatic move, giving up a staggering $65 million of his remaining salary at Saudi club Al Hilal to return to his childhood club, Santos FC.
The 32-year-old forward, who first made a name for himself at Santos before moving to FC Barcelona in 2013, is set to rejoin the São Paulo-based team after a brief and challenging stint in Saudi Arabia.
Al Hilal confirmed the mutual termination of Neymar’s contract, opening the door for his emotional return to Brazil.
Neymar’s time in Saudi Arabia was marred by injuries that limited him to just seven appearances and one goal since his arrival in 2023, leading to his decision to leave the club.

The move marks the end of an eventful, albeit difficult, chapter at Al Hilal, and signals Neymar’s desire to return to his roots and finish his career at the club where it all began.
Santos FC fans are eagerly anticipating the return of their hometown hero, who is sure to bring excitement and skill back to the pitch.
