The controversy, which has dominated headlines, revolves around contract disagreements and financial allegations. EeZee Tee claims that the situation has been misrepresented, stressing the importance of transparency in the industry.

During the court case, the EFCC arrested EeZee Tee and detained him for nine days. In a shocking statement to the media after his release, he claimed that he was forced into sending $274,000 to Mercy Chinwo.

“I was forced to transfer $274,000 to Mercy Chinwo. Why am I transferring money to her when she’s not giving back what she owes?” he questioned, expressing his frustration over the unresolved contractual issues between them.

According to EeZee Tee, Mercy Chinwo still owes her former record label a third album and several singles as part of their agreement. He claims that despite these obligations, he was compelled to make a hefty financial transfer, raising concerns about fairness and accountability in the dispute.

Furthermore, EeZee Tee accused Mercy Chinwo of financial misconduct, stating that while he is being held accountable for financial transactions, the demand for transparency appears to be one-sided.
