Florida Man Arrested After Making Online Threats Against Trump, Elon Musk, and FBI Official

A Florida man has been taken into custody following a series of disturbing online posts in which he allegedly threatened high-profile figures, including President Donald Trump, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and former FBI official Dan Bongino.

According to the Ormond Beach Police Department, 25-year-old Sheldon Biddle was apprehended after being tracked at a park near North Nova Road. He had an outstanding federal warrant and is now facing a number of state crimes, including making written threats to murder or injure others and fleeing justice.

In a now-deleted post on X (previously known as Twitter), Biddle allegedly advised Donald Trump to “shut up before you end up like Kennedy,” a blatant and disturbing reference to President John F. Kennedy’s killing. Police claim this post, along with others, contributed to a pattern of threats and extremist discourse.

An arrest affidavit obtained by WKMG News revealed that Biddle made several other inflammatory statements, including: “Do I have to (expletive) kill someone to get attention? Hellooooooooo?” His posts reportedly expressed deep frustration with the U.S. government, claiming betrayal and labeling others as “fake Patriots.”

Authorities found that Biddle’s online account contained several antisemitic, racist, and anti-LGBTQ statements. In addition to targeting Trump, Biddle allegedly made threatening remarks about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and NRA supporter Ted Nugent, calling him a “boot-licking traitor.”

The United States Secret Service became aware of the threatening content and immediately launched an investigation. The federal government has since launched a prosecution against Biddle, claiming that he “knowingly and willfully” threatened the President’s life.

The brief but scary federal indictment accuses Biddle of attempting to convey a serious threat of violence, claiming that he implied the President would be slain for “engaging in treason.” Authorities think the threats were made intentionally and recklessly, satisfying the legal bar for criminal prosecution.

Ormond Beach Police Chief Jesse Godfrey emphasized that such threats will not be tolerated. “No one should feel unsafe in their place of worship, neighborhood, or community,” he said in a press release. “We will act swiftly to hold offenders accountable.”

As of now, Biddle is being held at the Volusia County Jail with no option for bond. The investigation is ongoing, and both local and federal authorities are working together to assess the full extent of the threat.

Officials are urging the public to report any suspicious online activity that could indicate a credible threat.
