Ronnie Fuentez, a Wisconsin teenager, is facing increased murder charges after a domestic incident with his uncle resulted in the victim’s death. The terrible incident began as an argument over a friend sleeping over at their shared home.
According to authorities, the conflict took place on February 1 in Waukesha, where Fuentez, 17, had lived with his uncle for four years. Around 10 p.m., an argument broke out when the uncle told Fuentez to send his friend home. This choice allegedly infuriated the kid, resulting in a heated argument.
Witnesses and police reports reveal Fuentez repeatedly struck his uncle with closed fists, targeting his head. While the victim initially attempted to defend himself, the teenager persisted in the assault. Before fleeing the scene, Fuentez allegedly expressed longstanding hostility, saying, “I’ve wanted to f— you up since the first day I moved in.”
The victim did not seek emergency medical assistance, instead relying on over-the-counter medications to relieve his symptoms. However, on February 5, his condition worsened. While speaking with his mother on the phone, he struggled to form sentences, forcing her to take him to the hospital.
Medical tests revealed serious internal bleeding in the victim’s brain. He was admitted to an intensive care unit, but his health worsened. After months of fighting for his life, the victim died in late May.
Fuentez was already out on bond for a separate offense at the time of the attack, which violated his release terms. This resulted in an extra charge of misdemeanor bail jumping.
The teen was initially charged with violence, but the charges were upgraded to murder after his uncle died. Fuentez is due to appear in Waukesha County Court on Saturday to face the accusations.
