Bad Bunny will take center stage at Super Bowl LX, headlining the Apple Music halftime show on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The NFL confirmed the groundbreaking announcement during Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock, ending weeks of speculation.

The Puerto Rican superstar’s performance will mark a milestone moment for Latin music and global representation in one of the most-watched events in television history. Last year’s Super Bowl drew 127.7 million viewers, while Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show in 2025 set a record with 133.5 million viewers.

Bad Bunny, who recently boosted Puerto Rico’s economy with a residency that generated an estimated $733 million, will bring his international influence to the NFL stage. The artist will also host the Season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live ahead of his upcoming European and South American tour.

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL,” Bad Bunny said in a statement.

Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, whose Roc Nation curates the halftime show, praised the historic booking: “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”

NFL executives echoed the excitement. “Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene,” said Jon Barker, SVP of Global Event Production. “We know his dynamic performances, creative vision, and deep connection with fans will deliver the kind of unforgettable experience we’ve come to expect from this iconic cultural moment.”

Apple Music, the halftime show’s presenting sponsor, also highlighted the partnership. “The Halftime Show is the ultimate celebration of music and culture, and few artists embody that intersection more perfectly and authentically than Bad Bunny,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s Vice President of Music, Sports and Beats.

The announcement follows speculation linking Taylor Swift and Adele to the slot before both reportedly declined. Past halftime headliners have included Usher, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, The Weeknd, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.
