Authorities in Wisconsin have charged a 41-year-old mother with first-degree murder after she allegedly admitted to killing her teenage daughter during a non-emergency call, claiming she was trying to protect the child from billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

According to a criminal complaint cited by local reports, Tyiece Oninski contacted the Rock County Communications Center on March 20 in a call that lasted nearly 15 minutes. During the conversation, she reportedly told dispatchers that her 14-year-old daughter, Kuren Rein, had been killed the previous night. She also disclosed that she had attempted to take her own life after the incident.

Investigators say Oninski made a chilling statement during the call, saying she “murdered [her daughter] to protect her from somebody else, period,” before later naming Musk as the perceived threat.

Emergency responders arrived at the home shortly before 8 a.m. and discovered the teenager deceased. Reports indicate the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds. Authorities also recovered a knife and its sheath from inside the residence.

During the call, Oninski reportedly requested both medical assistance and a hearse. When a dispatcher asked if the ambulance was needed for her daughter, she responded, “She’s dead, honey. She needs a hearse.”

Deputies at the scene found Oninski with severe injuries, including deep lacerations to her neck and wrists, along with what appeared to be a stab wound to her chest. She was transported to a hospital for treatment, where toxicology results later showed the presence of benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and THC in her system.

Law enforcement officials have not indicated any known connection between the family and Musk, and there is no evidence suggesting the tech executive was involved in the case.

Oninski is currently being held on a $1 million bond. Court records show her next scheduled appearance is set for April 14 as the case proceeds through the legal system.
