About The Ukzn Heard Phd Program

Who Can Apply?
The selection committee prefers candidates from Lesotho. Students from other Southern African countries receive secondary consideration.
- Hold a Master’s degree with a first-class or upper second-class pass
- Degree must be in Public Health, Epidemiology, Global Health, or related fields
- Possess strong skills in English communication
- Have a valid driver’s licence
- Show willingness to visit field sites in Lesotho regularly
- Knowledge of Sesotho is a strong bonus
