The 54-year-old fastened himself to the top of a British Airways Embraer 190 jet after winning a bronze medal at London 2012.

His actions caused more than 300 people to be stranded and cost British Airways over £40,000, according to the court at Southwark Crown Court.

When former paralympian James Brown climbed to the top of a British Airways plane in October 2019, he created major disturbance.

An Aer Lingus flight was delayed for nearly two hours on the day of Brown’s glue-related incident because an activist refused to take his seat, preferring instead to pace the aisle giving a lecture on climate change.

Hundreds of protestors gathered with banners and sang and chanted outside London City Airport at roughly the same time.

Others obstructed travelers’ access to the terminal, as well as the roadways leading to and from the airport.
