After numerous radio support and a co-sign from Capital Xtra’s very own DJ Semtex on his last track “Zoning”, North West LDN rapper/songwriter Casscade returns with a special live rendition of one of his previous singles, ‘Doing Alright’ to celebrate his birthday that was on the 31st December.
The new version was produced by Elliot Herrington (A producer/pianist currently residing in South London.
Here we see the North West London UK musical artiste, Casscade display an impressive vocal performance on the hook with nice tones and slick wordplay in his verse.
The smooth production gives the track an entirely new identity as the original track could be described as more of a club banger.
It provides a moody ambience with synths that subtly bring a cinematic feel. Casscade has been on a winning streak with these live renditions as it really adds to his creative catalog and showcases his true talent and understanding of music.
This rendition of ‘Doing Alright’ follows Casscade’s previous single and live version of ‘Zoning’.
Other highlights of tracks include ‘Hurry Up & Buy’ which features the Gold-selling German artist Joshi Mizu.
This was added to various official Spotify and Amazon Music playlists with further media support coming from
Backspin Mag, SBTV and Noctis Mag.
Other tastemaker support for Casscade has come from DJ Charlie Sloth and 4x Grammy Award-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer, who played ‘Finesse’ on his Instagram live with DJ Semtex, which led to ‘Finesse’ being featured on Semtex’s ‘5 Tracks You Need To Know’ show on Capital Xtra.
