Video: Yvonne Nelson Labels Some Ghanaian Movie Editors As “Unprofessional” [See Details]

3 Min Read

Yvonne Nelson, Ghanaian actress and movie producer, has voiced sorrow over her decision to hire Ghanaian movie editors for her recent film ‘The Men We Love.’

Yvonne explained that this is her tenth year as a movie producer.  And for her latest film, she has opted to be patriotic and use only Ghanaians.

However, according to the Ghanaian actress, the Ghanaian editors she hired to work on the film were unprofessional.

And more importantly, most of them turned out to be uninterested in her project.

Furthermore, she elaborated that even though she had paid these editors in full before giving them the work yet they couldn’t care less about the deadlines she had to meet.

The proprietor of YN Movie Productions also expressed regret for not hiring a Nigerian editor. This is because, for her, they are always very disciplined.

Moreover, they make sure that you have your movie within 10 days.

About Yvonne’s Career

Nelson, a former Miss Ghana contestant, started her career by accident when she went to her favorite place to watch an audition and the producer insisted if she wanted to perform.

She later got her number after she declined the offer and appeared in her first movie scene in Princess Tyra in 2007 and Playboy in 2008. In 2011, she began working as a film producer.

That same year, she produced her first film, The Price.

Single and Married, released in 2012, and House of Gold, released in 2013, are two of her other works.

At the 2013 City People Entertainment Awards, the latter won Best Picture and Best Ghanaian Movie.
