Another sad news hitting the Ghanaian Music Industry it has lost one of its own veterans, as reports have it that Sonni Balli is dead.
Information reaching Townflex.com has it that the ace Ghanaian dancehall recording artiste passed away on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, just a few days after turning 40.
The news of his death came to the public notice following a post made by one of his friends, Mark Dalinton on his Facebook page announcing he has died.
Mark Darlington who is the CEO Black Kulcha Music in a Facebook post shared how sad, shock, and heartbroken he is after learning the death of his friend and such a great talent on Thursday.
Mark in his post expressing his shock said he couldn’t believe the news when he heard it because he even wished him on his birthday which was on Monday, June 6, 2022, as he marks 40-years-old.
Mark Darlington wrote on Facebook “Sonni Balli how could you do this bro! I wished you a happy birthday just this past Monday! This is not fair! I am devastated and heartbroken! How???”.
The late dancehall recording artiste, Sonni Balli who is born with his legal name “Sonny Kwabena Amoako Akoanor” was born on June 6, 1982. He started his music career at the age of 17.
Sonni has played some big roles in naturing talent and discovering new artistes, he has also played a big part of the upbringing of Ghanaian reggae/dancehall recording artiste, Samini helping him reach the limelight.

According to information gathered so far, the veteran Ghanaian dancehall recording artiste died of cardiac arrest.
This news comes as a big shock to the industry as many stars in the Music and entertainment fraternity, (musicians) have reacted to the news, pouring in their condolences.
