Famed Nigerian actor and film executive Olu Jacobs turns 80 years on Monday July 11, 2022.

Prior to his 80th birthday, There was an 80th birthday ceremony held in honour, and also in celebration of the veteran actor on Sunday, July 10th, the event was well attended by Nigerian entertainers and notable personalities.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Sunday, join Nollywood and professional actors, at home and abroad, to celebrate stage and screen icon, Olu Jacobs, on his 80th birthday, July 11, 2022, iin a statement released by him signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, titled ‘President Buhari joins Nollywood in celebrating Olu Jacobs at 80.’

Olu Jacobs is a Nigerian actor and film executive born with his legal name Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs. He has starred in several British television series and international films. Olu Jacobs has been hailed by many as one of the greatest and most widely respected African actors of his generation.

Olu Jacobs Turns 80 years

Jacobs’ wife, Joke Silva, who is also a Nollywood veteran, took to her social media pages on Sunday afternoon where she made a video post about the event showing captured some of the notable persons who have arrived at the event.

Some of the socialites spotted at the star-studded party are RMD, Toyin Abraham, Hilda Dokubo, Sola Sobowale, Mo Abudu, Bolanle Austen-Peters, Soni and Betty Irabor, Debola Lagos, Kunle Afolayan, Ireti Doyle, and many more.
