Ghanaian rapper Medikal recently released a new song called “Cold & Trophies” which features his ex-girlfriend, and fellow musician, Sister Deborah.
When Medikal first announced the collaboration on social media, it sparked rumors and confusion among fans due to the history between the two.
Medikal and Sister Derby were once considered one of the most beloved couples in Ghana, but their relationship ended, and they both moved on. Medikal went on to fall in love with and marry actor Fella Makafui in 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child, Island, shortly after.
The announcement of the collaboration was somewhat controversial because Fella Makafui was seen without her wedding ring in a social media post, which led to rumors that Medikal was breaking up with her and getting back together with Sister Deborah. Fans were confused and shared their opinions on the situation.
However, everything was cleared up when Medikal shared the official cover artwork for the collaboration on social media, confirming that he was indeed featuring Sister Deborah on the song.
The song has finally been out, released on Thrusday, March 9th, 2023, production credit for the audio goes to Chensee Beatz, while video was shot and directed by Hawk Eye.
