‘Young & The Restless’ Actor Eric Braeden Reveals he has Cancer

Eric Braeden, who has played Victor Newman on CBS’ “Young and the Restless” for over four decades, recently revealed to his fans in a video on Facebook that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

However, he also stated that he has been able to continue working on the show despite his health issues.

Braeden’s cancer diagnosis came after experiencing problems with his bladder and urination that worsened during his recovery from a recent knee-replacement surgery.

He wanted to share his diagnosis publicly to raise awareness and potentially help other men who may be experiencing similar health issues.

He was diagnosed by a urologist at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and underwent surgery for a UroLift to relieve pressure on his urethra, during which doctors removed the cancer.

However, biopsy results later revealed some high-grade cancer cells, and he is currently undergoing immunotherapy.

Braeden admitted that he has learned to listen to his body more and not overexert himself. He still works out but on a modified basis, and he is determined to beat the disease.

Despite his health struggles, Braeden still loves acting and is grateful for his fans’ support. He said, “I still am happy to be able to go work.

With nearly 4,000 episodes under his belt, Braeden’s character Victor Newman has become a fixture on “Young and the Restless.”
