Palmer faced fierce competition, outshining notable hosts such as Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik from Jeopardy!, Steve Harvey of Family Feud, and Pat Sajak from Wheel of Fortune.
Her triumph breaks the male-dominated streak in this category, with the last female winner being Meredith Vieira in 2009 for the syndicated run of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
