AC Milan have reportedly been handed a huge boost in pursuit of Gabonese and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese International joined Arsenal from Borusssia Dortmund in January 2018 during Arsene Wenger’s final season and has been a key figure for the club.

He became the clubs highest-paid player a month after proving pivotal in the FA Cup success in 2020.

The 32 year old relationship Arteta soured last year following reports of consistently poor time keeping and has not played for the Gunners since his armband was stripped.

According to source from London, PSG and Barcelona are all interested in signing the player but Milan appears to be leading the chase for his signature.

According to Football Italia, Milan are ahead of the few clubs who are chasing Aubameyang this January after Gabon international rejected an offer from Middle East club.

The 32 year Gabonese looks past his best form but he doesn’t want to step down a level yet, with Milan now looking in a good position to give him the kind of move he wants.

Aubameyang linking up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the San Siro will be intriguing to see the Rossoneri with another option up front.

Aubameyang may leave at the end of the season if a deal cannot be found before then, but he likely to be around the training complex, even if he isn’t involved with first-team training.
