Keller Scott Fornes, the beloved actor known for his role in Great American Family’s County Rescue, has tragically passed away at the age of 32.
Fornes died on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Eastland, Texas, as confirmed by an obituary published by Lacy Funeral Home.
His memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephenville, Texas.
The news of Fornes’ death was shared publicly on Monday, January 6, by Great American Media, which released a heartfelt statement on Instagram and X.
“We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes,” the statement read.
“He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer, and director, as well as a singer and musician.
His energy and enthusiasm lifted all he worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue.”

Fornes, who had recently shared photos of his travels and behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram, portrayed the character Griffin in County Rescue.
The series was set to begin production on its second season this month. His co-stars, including Julia Reilly and Kristin Wollett, mourned the loss of their friend and colleague, sharing emotional tributes on social media.
Beyond his role in County Rescue, Fornes had an extensive career in television and film, with credits on popular shows such as The Walking Dead, Found, and Genius. He also appeared in films like The Secrets She Keeps and Project ISISX.
Before making a name for himself in Hollywood, Fornes earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of North Texas.
In addition to his acting career, Fornes was passionate about independent filmmaking, painting, drawing, singing, and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed physical challenges, including boxing.
Fornes’ passing has left a void in the entertainment industry, and his colleagues, fans, and friends continue to remember him for his kindness, talent, and inspiring spirit.
