Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has caused a stir by revealing his decision to leave Ghana ahead of the 2024 elections.
In a recent interview with Smart Ghana on December 5, 2024, the controversial spiritual leader shared that neither he nor his followers participate in voting, explaining that they leave the selection of leaders to divine intervention.
Ajagurajah, leader of the Ajagurajah Movement, stated that he has never voted in his life and that his followers also abstain from voting.
The reasoning behind this, he explained, lies in their belief that God ultimately chooses the leaders of the nation. “It is God who chooses the leaders. My church members and I don’t vote. I’ve never voted in my life,” Ajagurajah said.
He added that he plans to leave Ghana before December 7, the date of the general elections, and will only return after the results are announced.
According to Ajagurajah, this decision is rooted in his faith and trust in God’s plan for the country, regardless of the outcome.

In his interview, Ajagurajah also addressed the prophecies and public debates circulating about the election. He cryptically remarked that, despite all the predictions, he is certain of the truth in the ongoing discussions.
“Everyone is sharing their opinions. I’ve told my children that I know who is right in all the controversies, and I know who will cry someday,” he said, leaving much to speculation.
Ajagurajah’s decision to stay out of the electoral process has sparked conversation, with many questioning the role of religion in politics and leadership.
His followers, however, remain firm in their faith and commitment to his teachings.
