Ghana’s Government has Ordered The Closure Of All Universities, SHS and JHS Schools and all public gatherings Till Further Notice starting today Monday, March 16th: Coronavirus

The president of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has has addressed the nation for the second time regarding the Coronavirus outbreak.

The president in the late hours of Sunday, 15th of March 2020, aired live on national television where he shared with the public measures taken against spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Yesterday’s edition of the nation address held was the second speech he made after Ghana reported cases of the virus. The first address was few days back when it was only two confirmed cases and now we have six cases to tackle as at yesterday.

Akufo-Addo has placed suspensions on all public gatherings which includes conferences, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting, religious activities for the next four (4) weeks.

He also added in the Address To The Nation speech that all universities, Senior High Schools (SHS) and Basic Schools (both private and public) should all be closed starting from Monday, March 16th 2020, till further notice.
