ITS MODIFIED TO HIDE YOUR IP ADDRESS WHEN USING SAFARI.

Apples iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 have a new Intelligent tracking prevention feature that prevents websites and trackers from knowing your real IP address. Why is this important? Every iPhone, like every other internet-connected device, has a unique IP address. Sites and businesses can use it to track your internet activity and create a profile of you. However, iOS 15 now allows you to mask your real IP address from site and advertiser trackers.

To enable it, follow these instructions: Hide IP Address in Settings > Safari After that, select Tracker Only from the drop-down menu. If you have iCloud Plus, you can also select Trackers and Websites.

PROTECTION OF MAIL PRIVACY

It conceals your IP address and email actions from senders that include tracking pixels in their messages.

Tracking pixels are a type of pixel that advertisers employ to track how you interact with their emails.

When you open an email, a tracking pixel is a remote, invisible image that communicates with the sender’s server. It tells the sender when you opened it, your IP address, your location, and other details.

Mail privacy protection prevents tracking pixels by downloading all remote images as soon as you receive an email and concealing your real IP and location. As a result, tracking pixels are rendered ineffective, protecting your privacy.

How to make it work: Select Settings > Mail > Privacy Protection from the drop-down menu. Toggle the Protect Mail Privacy switch to On (green button). In addition, turn on the switch next to Hide IP Address (green button).

APP PRIVACY REPORT VALUE

The App Privacy Report shows you which apps have accessed your iPhone’s sensors and cameras in the last seven days, as well as what data they’re obtaining and where they’re sending it.

Benefits: On our iPhone, many of us have multi of apps. Many of these applications have access to our cameras, photographs, location, and microphones, as well as collecting and transferring other information about us to third-party services and advertising. The App Privacy Report will show you exactly what each app can access as well as the data it collects and sends. This openness aids in better informing you about the apps you may wish to uninstall.
