The injury occurred during the team’s training camp in Dubai earlier this week, with the German forward suffering the setback while participating in the warm-weather sessions.

The news broke on Tuesday evening, with Mail Sport first reporting the injury scare, followed by confirmation from The Athletic that Havertz has indeed torn his hamstring.

The 25-year-old’s future for the remainder of the campaign is now uncertain, and while it has not been confirmed whether surgery will be required, Havertz’s primary goal is to return to full fitness ahead of the 2025-26 season.

This injury comes at a particularly challenging time for Arsenal, who are chasing Liverpool for the Premier League title.

His most recent goal came in a thrilling 5-1 victory over defending champions Manchester City earlier this month.

With Arsenal already missing Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, who is sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, this new blow to their squad will make their pursuit of the title even more difficult.

Jesus was injured during Arsenal’s FA Cup loss to Manchester United in early January.

Havertz’s absence is a huge disappointment for manager Mikel Arteta, as the team looks to stay competitive with Liverpool, currently sitting six points ahead in the league standings.

Arsenal’s attacking options are now further depleted, and the Gunners will need to dig deep to maintain their momentum as the season progresses.
