Australian Woman Sets Guinness Record for Largest Minions Collection

Australian woman has officially set a new Guinness World Record for amassing the largest collection of Minions memorabilia. Liesl Benecke, a resident of Western Australia, has gathered an astonishing 1,035 Minions items over the course of 15 years.

Her fascination with the adorable, mischief-loving characters began after watching the first Despicable Me movie. Benecke recalls being immediately drawn in by their unique charm and hilarious antics. “I remember laughing so much at the cute, little pill-shaped henchmen. They certainly made a huge impression on me,” she told Guinness World Records.

What began as a simple admiration has turned into a full-blown passion. Benecke shared that she has made it her mission to search for Minions wherever she goes. From plush toys to rare collectibles, each item in her collection holds sentimental value. “I’m just a big kid at heart,” she explained.

According to Guinness World Records, her dedication to the franchise has now earned her the official title for the largest Minions collection on record. Every room in her house, she says, features these cheerful characters. “They are in every room and on every spare wall,” Benecke added. “My daughter says I need another house just to store my Minions, but I love being surrounded by their beautiful, bright yellow smiles.”

Despite the massive size of her collection, Benecke doesn’t plan on slowing down. She insists that her Minion family is still growing, and she has no intentions of stopping her hunt for more. “I will never stop buying Minions to bring home,” she said enthusiastically.

While many people see Minions as interchangeable, Benecke has her own personal favorite: Stuart. Known for his sass and one-eyed gaze, Stuart has earned a special place in her heart — and even on her skin. “My favorite is Stuart, the sassy, one-eyed Minion with attitude,” she revealed. “He is the one I have tattooed on my arm.”

Her Minion tattoo often sparks conversations with strangers and fellow fans, helping her connect with others who share the same fondness for the animated franchise. “So many people and kids comment on the tattoo and we start talking about our mutual love of Minions,” she said.
