The 2022 Edition of the BET awards came of on Sunday night, June 26 with spectacular performances and artistes winning their deserved awards.

The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans in music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year. The awards, which are presented annually, are broadcast live on BET.

On Sunday night, American rapper, songwriter, record executive, and entrepreneur Diddy who is born with his legal name Sean Love Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or Puffy was awarded the lifetime achievement award, presented to him on stage during the event by Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Kanye “Ye” West.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar won the Best Male Hip Hop Artist, While Megan Thee Stallion also won the Best Female Hip Hop Artiste awards.

Latto emerged as the winner for the New Artiste category, Nigeria’s Tems also won the award for the Best International Acts awards, Wizkid also From Nigeria was announced as the winner of the best collaboration category with his smash hit song ““Essence,” which featured Justin Bieber & Tems.

In terms of movies, King Richard emerged as the winner for the best movie category, American acotr, Will Smith won the award for the Best Actor category with the same movie, King Richard, whiles Zendaya won awards for best actress with the movies “Euphoria” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
