Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has once again made history, adding a monumental Grammy win to her already impressive collection.
The legendary singer, known for being the most-decorated and nominated artist in Grammy history, took home her first-ever Country Grammy at the 2025 Grammy Awards held at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles.
Beyoncé won the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration on II Most Wanted with Miley Cyrus.
This historic win makes Beyoncé the first Black woman to ever win a Grammy in a country music category.
Her groundbreaking achievement follows a long gap since the Pointer Sisters took home a similar award in 1975, though no Black female solo artist had previously won in this category until now.

This year’s Grammy performance marked a powerful moment for Beyoncé, who also became the leading nominee with 11 nods, including for the prestigious Album of the Year for her acclaimed eighth studio album Cowboy Carter.

For the first time, Beyoncé found herself nominated in the Country & American Roots field, a notable step forward for her as an artist crossing genres.
Seven songs from Cowboy Carter were nominated across multiple genres, underlining her versatility.
Her win for II Most Wanted is even more meaningful considering the challenges she faced in the country music world.
Despite the success of Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé was snubbed at the 2024 Country Music Association Awards, where she received no nominations, despite being a frontrunner at the People’s Choice Country Awards.
She also made headlines in December when she won the Top Country Female Artist award at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, marking her first country music win.
Beyoncé’s historic Grammy victory not only cements her place in music history but also highlights the ongoing evolution of country music’s boundaries and recognition of diverse talent.
