Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., after developing a fever, according to a statement released on Monday, December 23.
Clinton, 78, is undergoing testing and observation, but sources close to the situation have assured the public that his condition is “not urgent.”
Angel Ureña, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, provided an update on the former president’s condition, confirming that he is “awake and alert” and remains in “good spirits.” Ureña added that Clinton is receiving excellent care and is expected to be home in time for Christmas.
