- Ghanaian rapper star, Black Sherif wins big at the just-ended 2022 edition of the annually held Ghana Music Awards Uk which came off on Saturday, October 29th, 2022.
The event was held at the Royal Agency Manor Park in London and witnessed the hard-working rapper, Blacko who is born with his legal name as Mohammed Ismail Sherif walk home a champ by winning three awards which also included the most prestigious Artiste Of the Year Category.
The Ghana Music Awards UK is an annual event put together by MR NII OFORI TACKIE-TETTEH and EMMELIO TETTEH, who own Alordia Promotions & West Coast UK respectively.
The Ghana Music Awards UK is largely a people’s choice awards scheme that seeks to champion and expand the development of the Ghanaian music industry both home and abroad, into an international market for global recognition of Ghanaian creative works.

The scheme is established to create an open market for collaboration, sales, new music trends, cultural exchanges, marketing opportunities and several benefits to be accessed by Ghanaian musicians in the United Kingdom.
The ‘Soja’ hitmaker who recently released his first studio album dubbed the “The Villain I Never Was” won in the Artiste of the year category, “Artist of the Year,” “New Artist of the Year,” and “Hiplife Hip-hop Song of the Year” with his hit song.
Black Sherif was nominated into the same category with the likes of Legacy Life Entertainment artiste King Promise, from the stables of Lynx Entertainment we have KiDi, and Kuami Eugene, highlife singer Akwaboah, gospel singers Celestine Donkor, and Diana Hamilton, the Sakcess music boss Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy, the president of Bhim Nation.
