Each member of the Ghana national team will get $30,000 should the Black Stars go past the 2023 AFCON group stage.

After drawing with Egypt and losing to Cape Verde in their opening two group games, Chris Hughton’s team has not triumphed in either game.

But, Ghana will have a chance to make apologies before their pivotal last Group B match on Monday night against Mozambique.

The Black Stars would go up to four points with a victory, which would just be enough to guarantee them a spot in the top four third-place finishes or second place.

If the team advances to the knockout stage, each player would receive a qualification bonus of $30,000, according to a report by 3Sports.

Recall that after talking with the players, Akwesi Agyemang, vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee, said prior to the Qatar 2022 World Cup that the victory incentive would be replaced with a qualification bonus.

The budget for Ghana’s participation in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will not be made public until after the competition, according to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The national team’s budget is still being discussed, and daily expenditures are being made, according to Charles Amofa, the PRO for the Ministry.

Therefore, he asked Ghanaians to instead offer their prayers for Chris Hughton and his team’s success in the Ivory Coast.
