Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament (MP) representing Assin Central, thinks that investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas damaged Ghana’s football business.

He claims that if it weren’t for the investigative journalist, Ghana’s sports industry would have been the envy of other countries.

“Blame Anas for the failure in sports. He used foul means to destroy Kwasi Nyantakyi. Look at the way he was rising. It completely discourages anyone who wants to go into sports.

So what do you want the government to do? When your hero is Anas who says he will destroy Ghana sports. Nana Akufo-Addo has done well.

He has constructed Astro turfs across the country and that has whipped up interest in sports in the country,” he iterated.

Moreover, he suggested that it is high time football club owners and player agents were expelled from the Ghana Football Association.

He thinks that because these people have a stake in and a say in who plays for which teams and manages players, they are the reason the Black Stars keep losing.
