On Friday, November 17, the remains of the late Ghanaian international forward Raphael Dwamena were returned home and arrived in Ghana.
On Saturday, November 11, the former Black Stars player collapsed during a match in the Albanian league, and he passed away at the age of 28.
Dwamena gave up during the first half of his team’s game against Partizani, KF Egnatia. Sadly, the player did not survive despite prompt medical attention and support from teammates on both teams.
Raphael Dwamena, who scored twice in eight appearances for Ghana and finished as the season’s top scorer in the Albanian Super League, is well-known for his contributions to football.
Nothing is known about the specifics of the last funeral ceremonies and the steps taken to bury him.
