Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has accused her ex-boyfriend, country music star Zach Bryan, of emotional abuse during their relationship, claiming he subjected her to a cycle of manipulation and mistreatment.
Speaking out on the BFF Podcast on Thursday, November 7, LaPaglia, 25, opened up for the first time about her relationship with Bryan, 29, since their public breakup in October.
LaPaglia described the emotional toll of the relationship, claiming it was marked by constant ups and downs: “Build you up, beat you down, apologize over and over.”

She recalled crying herself to sleep, feeling trapped in a cycle of abuse, and how Bryan would repeatedly apologize but continue the same behaviors.
“There was always another excuse,” she said, referring to his mistreatment, adding that she had been “scared” and “rewired” by the experience.

The allegations go beyond just her own suffering. LaPaglia also accused Bryan of making previous girlfriends sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to silence them about their experiences.
She claimed she was offered $12 million and a New York apartment to keep quiet about her relationship with him, which she refused.
LaPaglia said, explaining that she could never accept money to cover up the emotional abuse she endured. “I’m stronger than a weak man.”
LaPaglia’s decision to speak out was motivated by a desire to help others who may be experiencing similar emotional abuse, saying her story was for anyone without a support system. “
This isn’t about drama or trying to expose someone,” she added. “This is me choosing not to sign away my experiences to protect someone who hurt me.”

Zach Bryan, who confirmed their breakup on Instagram on October 22, has not publicly addressed the abuse allegations.
He did, however, speak about his own struggles over the past year, citing personal difficulties as a reason for the split.
LaPaglia, on the other hand, felt blindsided by the breakup and has since stepped back from social media to focus on healing privately.
