Pop sensation Britney Spears has emphatically declared that she has no intentions of making a return to the music industry, dispelling recent rumors suggesting otherwise.
Responding to reports circulating in the US media about her purported plans for a 10th studio album, Spears took to Instagram on January 3 to set the record straight.
In a post accompanied by a striking image of Guido Reni’s painting depicting the biblical story of Salome, Spears wrote, “Just so we’re clear, most of the news is trash!
They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry!!! When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people!!!”
The pop icon further revealed her passion for ghostwriting, stating, “I’m a ghostwriter, and I honestly enjoy it that way.” Spears went on to dismiss another rumor, asserting that her 2023 memoir, “The Woman In Me,” was released without her approval. She categorically stated that this claim was “far from the truth.”
Spears highlighted her significant contribution to songwriting, disclosing that she has penned “over 20 songs for other people in the past two years.” This revelation not only reinforces her commitment to creative expression but also sheds light on her evolving role within the music industry.
In shutting down these rumors and setting the record straight, Britney Spears reaffirms her focus on writing for enjoyment and for others, signaling a new chapter in her multifaceted career.
