Bronny, the son of NBA icon LeBron James, set to enter the 2024 draft

Bronny James, the son of NBA legend LeBron, has announced he will enter the 2024 draft.

It happened less than a year after the 19-year-old went into cardiac arrest at the University of Southern California (USC) during practice.

After undergoing surgery to fix a congenital cardiac abnormality, he returned to the pitch to play for USC in December.

LeBron James, the all-time NBA leader in scoring, has never hidden his wish to play beside his son on the field.

Los Angeles Lakers player Blake Gryphon, 39, stated to ESPN, stating in 2023, “I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny.”

“I’ve had a year with some ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student, and athlete,” Bronny wrote on Instagram, an external platform.

“I’ve decided to use my collegiate eligibility to enter the NBA Draft, and I’ll also be using the NCAA transfer portal.

“Thank you to USC for an amazing Freshman year, and as always thankful for my family, friends, doctors, athletic trainers and fans for their support.”

One of the greatest basketball players of all time, LeBron James is a four-time NBA champion who last month became the first player to reach 40,000 career points.

The 26th and 27th of June 2024 will see the NBA draft.
