Multiple award-winning Nigerian musicians, Burna Boy and Wizkid grab nominations in the 2021 BET Awards.
Burna Boy who is born with his legal name as ‘Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu‘ and his brother, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun better known in the showbiz circles as Wizkid both got nominated into the same category “Best International Act category” and will be battling it out.
Well, the two stars happen to be the only Nigerians superstars in the category and will be competing with the likes of Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platnumz; Aya Nakamura and Youssoupha both from France; Brazilian act, Emicida; British acts, the rapper Headie One and the duo Yung T and Bugsey in the same category as well.

Burna Boy won the Best International Act category at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards, while Wizkid also won it back then in 2012.
Both Burna and Wizkid made Nigeria proud by waving high the flag during the 64th edition of the Grammy Award show by bagging awards.
The nomination for the BET Awards 2021 was announced yesterday, Thursday, May 27th, 2021, the show will air live on Sunday, June 27 on BET.
