Singer and songwriter Cassie has subtly responded to Kanye West’s recent social media posts defending music mogul Diddy in the face of ongoing abuse allegations.
In a quiet but telling move, Cassie reshared an Instagram post from rapper Playboi Carti, who directly told Kanye to “STFU” (shut the f*** up) in reaction to Kanye’s controversial remarks.
By resharing Carti’s message, Cassie seemingly aligns herself with the sentiment, sending a clear message that Kanye should stay out of the situation.
The controversy began when Kanye publicly defended Diddy, who has faced serious accusations of abuse. In one of his posts, Kanye controversially claimed that both he and Playboi Carti “beat women” but are not as widely criticized as Diddy.
This statement sparked a backlash, including Playboi Carti’s sharp response, urging Kanye to remain silent on the matter.

Cassie’s involvement in this issue is personal, as she has a history with Diddy dating back to 2016, when disturbing video footage surfaced of Diddy allegedly hitting her in a hotel hallway in Los Angeles.
The video, which was later revealed by CNN in 2024, reignited conversations about Diddy’s history of abuse, bringing renewed attention to the allegations.
Kanye’s defense of Diddy has drawn public ire, and he has also been sharing phone call clips between him and Diddy while Diddy is incarcerated at the MDC Brooklyn federal detention center.
However, Kanye’s public support of Diddy may be affecting his personal life as well. Sources have suggested that Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s ex-wife, is considering seeking a judge’s intervention to strip Kanye of joint legal custody of their daughter, North, following a violation of a previous agreement regarding the inclusion of North’s voice in Kanye’s latest song, “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine.”
