Chance the Rapper’s wife, Kirsten Corley, has officially filed for divorce after five years of marriage, marking the end of their relationship.
According to a report from TMZ on Tuesday, December 17, Corley submitted the divorce paperwork last Friday (Dec. 13). While the terms of the split have not been disclosed, the filing signals a major change for the couple.
The news comes months after the couple first announced their separation in April 2023. At that time, Chance and Kirsten revealed they had been living apart for two years before making the separation public.
Despite the split, they emphasized their commitment to raising their two daughters, Kensli and Marli, together.
“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.
God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you.”

Chance and Kirsten’s relationship dates back to their childhood years, but they officially started dating in 2013.
Their first daughter, Kensli, was born in 2015, and they briefly separated in 2016, only to reconcile in 2017. The couple married in 2019, and later welcomed their second daughter, Marli, in the same year.
Though their marriage has come to an end, both Chance and Kirsten remain focused on co-parenting their children and supporting one another through this difficult time.
Fans of the couple have expressed their support as they move forward in their separate lives.
