Exclusive sources have revealed to TheWrap that Charli XCX, a singer-songwriter who recently made waves at Coachella, will be starring in Legendary’s upcoming remake of the 1978 horror classic “Faces of Death“.
This exciting announcement places Charli in the company of notable stars such as Barbie Ferreira from “Euphoria” and Dacre Montgomery from “Stranger Things,” as production continues in New Orleans.
Co-written and directed by Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber, respectively, Legendary’s version of the film promises to delve into the darkly fascinating subject of the online perpetuation of violence and its associated cycles.
The film, which was once the subject of much controversy due to its infamous status as a banned, underground sensation, will be produced by Don Murphy and Susan Montford from Angry Films, along with Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath from Divide/Conquer.

Executive producing the project will be Isa Mazzei and Rick Benattar, with Cory Kaplan and Derek Bishé serving as co-producers.
Charli XCX, who has made a significant impact on the music industry over the past decade by successfully combining underground and mainstream sounds, released her fifth studio album “CRASH” in 2022 to great critical acclaim.
The album achieved #1 in the UK and #6 in the US, and Charli supported it with an extensive tour throughout North America, Europe, South America, and Australia.
Represented by CAA and Full Stop Management, Charli XCX’s involvement in “Faces of Death” is sure to generate even more buzz for this highly anticipated horror film.
