A horrific domestic dispute in Longview, Washington, on Halloween night ended in the deaths of a married couple, who stabbed and shot each other while their 11-year-old child was playing video games in another room.
The child, unaware of the violence unfolding, found their parents and called 911 for help.
On October 31, around 6:05 p.m., authorities responded to the call at the couple’s home on Olympia Way, where they discovered 38-year-old Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz and 39-year-old Cecilia Robles Ochoa dead in the kitchen.

Both had suffered fatal injuries—Alvarado Saenz from multiple stab wounds, and Robles Ochoa from gunshot and stab wounds.

The tragic scene unfolded while the couple’s child, who had been using earbuds while playing video games, was in a separate room and did not witness the altercation.
After finding their parents injured, the child immediately called the police, and medics attempted to save them, but the couple was pronounced dead at the scene. I
nvestigators later found a knife and a stolen pistol at the crime scene. The gun had been taken from Alvarado Saenz’s employer, but was only reported missing after the incident.

Authorities have confirmed that the couple had been having relationship issues and had been planning to separate.
Investigations indicate that both parents were assaulting each other during the altercation, but it remains unclear who initiated the violence.
As of now, no third party involvement is suspected, and the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office has assured the public that there is no ongoing threat.
