Felix Duke, the President of Creative Industry Group (CIG), has lifted the veil on the tumultuous divorce proceedings of Nollywood actor Emeka Ike.
Duke disclosed that he was actively involved in efforts to salvage the actor’s marriage, which ultimately ended in a courtroom drama.
According to Duke, he had been friends with Emeka long before he tied the knot with Suzanne Emma. In an attempt to mediate, Duke arranged a meeting at a hotel in Ogudu, Lagos, between the estranged couple.
Despite initial appearances, Emma remained resolute in her decision to end the marriage.
Duke recounted his presence in court during the divorce proceedings, revealing a heart-wrenching scene where Emeka knelt down to beg his ex-wife to reconsider.
He emphasized Emeka’s genuine love for Emma, detailing the actor’s emotional struggle post-divorce, including the loss of his established school and properties.
The CIG President expressed dismay at the involvement of Emeka’s first son, Michael, in the public fallout between his parents.
Duke criticized Michael’s social media attacks on his father, questioning how he intended to mend the relationship after such public disrespect.
Further, Duke called out actress Shan George for supporting Emma without attempting to understand the full story. He questioned George’s credibility, asking if she had ever visited Emeka and his ex-wife at their home or school.
The revelations from Duke shed light on the personal turmoil Emeka Ike faced during the dissolution of his marriage, bringing to the forefront the complexities of celebrity relationships and the toll they can take on individuals and families.
